Welcome to Eurus Collective!

Hello! My name is Spoons, I'm the founder and current leader of Eurus Collective. I'm happy to launch our new website! This marks a new and exciting chapter for Eurus.

In the past few weeks, Eurus and all of its members have been hard at work to increase our outreach efforts. Eurus isn't just about our private community, but about reaching out to all of you and increasing awareness about disability!

Why a new website?

There are a lot of new and exciting changes coming to Eurus in the future. This new website is one of those ways. We hope that these changes can provide us with easier and smoother ways to expand our community.

Internally, we've been messing around with some new organizational methods. Since its inception, Eurus has been using Discord as its primary communication platform. Discord is amazing for chatting, but not so great for project planning! So we've been trying out some things. Everything is very experimental, but we're already greatly enjoying these new methods.

In terms of our public image and outreach, we have quite a bit of work to go before we can fully commit to that mission. But we hope to be much more active in the coming months! Some of our original hopes for Eurus are at the forefront of our minds - including charity and mutual aid events, educational opportunities, and more member collaborations!

What's next?

I'm super excited to say that once everything is straightened out with Eurus's internal workings, we'll also be reopening applications! We've missed that "new member" feeling, and can't wait to get to know some of you!

This new website will also be opening up an amazing and unfamiliar avenue for us - blog posts! Our members are very excited to contribute to Eurus's mission through the written word. As a former journalism student, I can say that I feel the same way. Keep an eye out for new posts from some of our other members in the near future!
