Dandelions Speak! What's your favorite memory or part of being in Eurus?

Last week, we asked some of our members to answer this prompt:

"What's your favorite memory or part of being in Eurus?"

Iden: My favourite memory currently of being part of Eurus was the origami stream. It was so chaotic but we all either learned a new skill or learned to improve a current one, and once it was done, I took my little guys (Frog and Crane) down to my mum and said, 'Look at my little war criminals!' with the biggest smile. So definitely one of my favourite memories.

Jupe: My favorite part of being in Eurus is the people. They have all become like a family to me and I am so lucky to have met them. My favorite memory would definitely have to be the SMP prom stream. It was so fun to have so many of us all in one place just goofing off and having fun.

Hades: What I’ve come to love most of being a part of Eurus is the incredible support and help we offer each other in our daily lives, I always remember fondly all the tips, tricks and caring words all the members have offered me. Yet, while we all help each other through tough times and hardships I made some of my happiest and funniest memories while hanging out with the Community; the one I love the most, being an actor and all, was the Fake Family Dinner held last spring!

Appl: One of the things amongst many that I love about Eurus is the sense of community and support that we’ve created. We have a space that we’ve created with each other where we can support one another, vent about things going on in our lives, get advice on how to handle situations, tips for fixing things, and that’s just the beginning. I’ve seen it range from talks about struggling with mental health to asking for tips on how to organize mods for The Sims. We have an amazing little alcove of people and community that I think is hard to find elsewhere.

Eon: My favourite thing about Eurus is the people. We've really built a great community, and the bonds we've formed really show when we have calls and events, with jokes being tossed around and just generally a lot less internal drama than groups I've been in in the past. My favourite memory would have to be the first SMP prom: at that point, I was still super anxious about interacting with everyone (especially with the recent additions to the community at the time) and by the end of the event I had made a few new friends through the games we played and the builds we explored.

Spoons: My favorite part of being in Eurus is having a community that is bonded over one commonality (disability) that still remains so diverse. It is truly an incredible blessing to be able to lead such a varied and exciting group of people. I appreciate how open and honest and helpful everyone is all the time, especially when it comes to understanding our differences. We are all unique and wonderful, and that makes Eurus such an adventure!
